Two major companies, including Spring Energy and VFuel (USA), have been severely impacted by issues in their manufacturing processes. Spring Energy was found to be selling products with incorrect carbohydrate amounts. This discrepancy was discovered and verified by running coach Jason Koop. Once a popular energy product, it is now considered fraudulent, whether intentionally or unintentionally. All manufacturers are responsible for their products, as there are consequences for the athletes who invest their heart and soul into their sports and rely on these products for every single gram of carbs and energy.
Another endurance product, VFuel, has also announced its cessation of business due to production errors, as stated on their website.
